New Plant Maximises Waste Recycling

The Durham Company have just opened their brand new stat-of-the-art Max Recycle Plant in County Durham.

Officially opened by Local MP, Fraser Kemp on 5th June 2009, the £1M Waste Transfer Station will handle and segregate waste from waste disposal companies, waste contractors and local authorities that need to comply with the new government Landfill Directive.

The new facilities not only acts as the headquarters for The Durham Company, their new fleet of environmentally efficiency waste collection vehicles but also the new Max Recycle plant.

Max Recycle provides an easily accessible facility centrally located in the region to enable waste to be segregated and wherever possible recycled with hazardous material being pre-treated. The main aim of the Max Recycle Waste Transfer Station is to maximise the amount of waste going to recycling, improving the environment and reducing our reliance on landfill.
