About The Durham Company

The Durham Company offers complete waste management solutions to meet the commercial and trade waste disposal needs of our customers throughout North East England.

The Durham Company is a North East England company and was founded in March 2005 after acquiring the Trade Waste Business of Durham City Council. The Durham City Council customer base of over 900 multi-collection multi-frequency contracts was taken over and most of these now have contracted to collection and disposal of their trade waste. Our customer base has now been expanded into Tyneside, Wearside and Teesside areas with new contract awards from many of the regions major fast food and other chains as well as many of the regions blue chip companies.

The Durham Company is small, young, privately owned business and we are not a subsidiary of another larger organisation. We offer a dedicated, personal service and are enthusiastic about developing our business in the region to care for the environmental, legal and waste disposal needs of our customers.

The company is managed by an experienced team and has well trained dedicated staff and vehicle drivers and operators.

Initially operating a small number of specialist waste collection vehicles the company has expanded the fleet to cater for the growth in new business and new commercial and trade waste contracts.

The Durham Company operates under the Waste Management Licensing regulations for the safe collection, disposal and recycling of trade and commercial waste.
